Hyderabad Prince Claims Taj Mahal

“Prince” Yaqub Habeebuddin Tucy, who claims to be a descendant of Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar, has claimed custodianship of the Taj Mahal. He joins the Archaeological Survey of India, the waqf board, and an Agra resident in claiming the Taj. Tucy claims he didn’t worry about the Taj before because it was ran by the ASI, but became concerned once people started staking claim to it. He attached a Mughal family tree to his claim, which illustrates that he is the great great grandon of Bahadur Shah Zafar, who was the last emperor before being dethroned by the British in the 19th century.
