ICC Won’t Let Public Hear Umpires

The International Cricket Council announced that they would allow cricket umpires to use radios to communicate with each other but won’t let any radio communication be broadcasted to the public. The new technology will link on-field umpires with the third umpire, and will be used at October’s Super Series in Australia, but broadcasters will be denied access to any radio communication. ICC Chief Executive Malcolm Speed suggested that they let umpires “get used to this form of technology” before putting more pressure on them.

Why should they allow the public to view it?

Another positive development by the ICC though.
