Mistakes at IIFA Telecast
In an attempt to fit the four and a half hour IIFA event into a three-hour broadcast, Star Plus editors had to cut out some vital parts of the show - including Abhishek Bachchan’s performance. The act, which culminated with Abhishek being joined on stage by his father and Aishwarya Rai, was trimmed by four minutes, leaving some viewers and people involved with the show quite unhappy. There was also criticism for showing reactions of the audience members during the performance, rather than the performance itself. Director Viraf Sarkari denies everything.
