Hyderabadi tennis star Sania Mirza has managed to climb back to her career-high ranking of 70, after a great showing at Wimbledon over the last two weeks. Sania was able to reach the second round of the ladies’ singles event, where she was able to jump five place back to her highest ranking before losing to US Open champ Svetlana Kuznetsova. Her rank had slipped to 75 after some difficulty at the French Open and other losses in the clay court season. Sania is currently preparing to leave for the USA, where she’ll participate in the US Open Grand Slam on August 29th.
