People who just can’t get enough of Amitabh Bachchan rejoice: the Bollywood icon will be appearing in three films in the coming months. However, the roles won’t be what AB fans are used to - he’ll be playing himself in all three. Director Sanjay Daima’s debut Ramji Londonwale’s main character is a Bachchan fan who ends up meeting his idol in the end; another film, Amrit Dhare, is about a man who arranges for his dying wife to meet Bachchan, whom his wife refers to as her “first husband”; and Mahesh Manjrekar’s Struggler features a struggling Bollywood actor who meets the screen legend. AB appeared in all three without pay.

Have to say, releasing three films with the same plot point around the same time as each other is interesting, to say the least.
