Sourav Ganguly Hits 10,000 Run Mark
Team India cricketer Sourav Ganguly became the third batsman in cricket history to complete 10,000 runs in one-day matches, which he achieved during a game against Sri Lanka today. He stands behind leading scorer Sachin Tendulkar, who has 13,642 runs, and Pakistan’s Inzamam-ul-Haq, who has 10,933 runs. Ganguly reached his mark with a single to the covers off paceman Dilhara Fernando in the 25th over, in 272nd match (Sachin’s played 348). Sri Lanka’s Sanath Jayasuriya, who missed today’s match due to a shoulder industry, only needs 33 runs to reach 10,000.
