Lisbon High Court has agreed to Abu Salem’s extradition to India so the underworld don can face trial for his part in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case. Salem is currently in a Portuguese jail serving a four-and-a-half year term for possessing forged passports along with Bollywood actress Monica Bedi. The High Court in Portugal has rejected both Salem and Bedi’s pleas against extradition, and with Portugal’s Supreme Court, Constitutional Court, and Lisbon High Court all in favor of extradition, Salem can finally be handed over to India.
