Azharuddin: Marked for death???
Much beloved ex India cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin has been issued police protection following a mafia death threat made today. The article didn’t say exactly who issued the threat or why the mafia wanted the cricket star dead, but police are taking the matter very seriously, it seems.
“Any public figure getting a threat from mafia groups is a matter of serious concern,” Sen said, adding the request for security had not come from the cricketer himself.
Armed personnel will provide round-the-clock security at Azharuddin’s residence and the gymnasium he runs in Hyderabad.
Pretty scary.
