According to this article in The Hindu, Sania Mirza has been walking around the WTA Sunfeast Open with “a posse of commandos and special branch personnel.” Sania’s refusal to wear a burqa at the densely Muslim event, along with other religious controversies, has fueled the need for higher security.

“We are not taking any chances. The commandos will be there with her whenever she ventures out of her hotel room,” said a senior police officer.

Possible inappropriate comments include: “I’d like to tighten her security!” and “Faqir? I hardly know ‘er!” but neither of those are close to as inapropriate as what muslim clerics are saying about Sania.
