The Indian Cricket team for the one-day series against Sri Lanka has begun a three day training camp in Bangalore under the watchful eyes of Coach Greg Chappell and his training team.
The team is to play seven one day matches against Sri Lanka, the first of which will be held at Nagpur on October 25.
Sachin Tendulkar alongwith wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, Venugopal Rao and others are actively taking part in the practice sessions at Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy Stadium.
With the BCCI giving instructions to the players and the coach, Greg Chappell to keep their lips tight over the recent upheaval in the cricket team, no player spoke to the media.
The details of the camp were finalized at a meeting attended by India team coach Greg Chappell, trainer Gregory King and bio mechanics expert Ian Frazer at the National Cricket Academy.
In other news, the BBC has ranked Dravid’s performance thus far as a 7 out of 10, the third highest in the event.
