Sri Lanka crumbles, India goes to 2-0
After an impressive showing at Mohali, India is now half way to clenching the 7 game series against Sri Lanka. Much credit must be given again to the Indian spinners, who bowled the Lankans out for a pathetic 122, even lower than their last score against India, and the lowest score for any one-dayer at Mohali. Indian bowlers took 4 for 37 (Pathan), 2 for 19 (Harbhajan), and 2 for 32 (Yadav).
No Sri Lankan batsman reached the half century mark; their highest scorer was Sangakkara, with 27 runs.
For the Indians, the partnership of Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag scored a smashing 80 runs. Tednulkar later went on to reach 68 runs, making this game his 71st half century in single day, international matches.
In the end, India scored 123 and won the match by 8 wickets.
