India has now officially clinched the series vs. Sri Lanka. I don’t like to make a lot of speculation on this site, but I am sensing maybe a 7-0 sweep could be in the works for India. The big star of the match, in my mind, was Captain Rahul Dravid. Besides giving his usual stellar performance in the field, he batted a 63 and made a decision to take the field and put Sri Lanka up to bat early. This decision gave India the proper momentum for the late game where they overran Sri Lanka’s respectable score of 261 and won by 4 wickets.

Other stars included the one-day-wonder Dhoni with a 43 off 45 balls and Rainia, whose partnership with Dhoni yielded the batting streak of 82 runs that won the game for India.

All in all, batting was exceptional for India, showing that almost anyone on the team can pull substantial runs when necessary.

Good work, guys! The combination of youth and experience on the Indian team ensures greatness for years to come.
