India shocks Sri Lanka 5-1

India soundly thrashed Sri Lanka yesterday in a seven-wicket victory over the islanders, bringing the series to 5-1. Thanks to some spiffy fielding and first-class batting by Dravid’s squad, Sri Lanka set the bar pitifully low with a target of 197. Yuvraj Singh was much obliged to deliver. 6 boundaries and an unbroken 79 run batting streak gave India the win and shattered Sri Lanka’s resolve. I don’t think India even broke a sweat.

The final match of the series will take place in Hyderabad this Saturday afternoon, and the upcoming Test will be held in Chennai from December 2-6. Predictions are in favor of India for both the final match of the series and the Test. I’m sure Dravid will prove himself more than serviceable as a test captain.

Meanwhile, there’s been talk of India taking down Australia… I don’t know if it’s possible, but that’s a match I can really get excited about!
