Sania Mirza to endorse Sprite, moves to second round of Bangalore Open
Sania Mirza has proceeded to the second round of the Bangalore Open today, after decisively winning out over Martina Muller 6-2, 6-2.
This success follows swiftly on the heels of the announcement on February 11th that the tennis star has been signed on to promote Sprite. Her endorsement will kick off with a new commercial, which began airing on the same day. In the commercial, a teen-age boy discovers that the drink refreshes Sania but does not contribute to her success. Mirza said of her role as Sprite’s ambassador, “”Honestly, Sprite has always been my favorite drink. It has stood for a refreshing youthful attitude - one that I identify with. It’s got this cutting edge straightforwardness. I relate to it since it is similar to my outlook in life. Being a part of Sprite’s campaign is quite exciting for me.”
