Well, there’s always the ODI… (Feb. 6)

Thanks again to India’s batting, the second test match vs. Pakistan has ended in a tame draw.
Resuming at the overnight score of 441 for five, Dhoni and Pathan kept tormenting Pakistan by scoring runs quite easily before Danish Kaneria brought an end to the record 210-run partnership by sending back Dhoni.

Overnight [...]

Despite a rousing, record-breaking day for Indian batsmen Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag, the test cricket match between India and Pakistan has ended in a tame draw. Pak’s bowlers managed to contain India in the early phases of the match, but, partially due to the pitch conditions and weather, groundsmen on both sides collapsed, [...]

India goes down 0-1 in first match vs. South Africa

Wednesday, November 16th, 2005

Well, it looks like the Indians are human after all. Mostly due to a collapse in the top of India’s order, the boys in blue went down hard to their South African rivals. Their late game, 83-run rally was not enough to overcome the early loss of wickets.
South Africa is the 2nd ranked [...]

Dhoni and Singh were the one-two punch that eliminated Sri Lanka on Saturday, bowling and batting the islanders into submission. India closed out the 6-1 route with a big boundary from Dravid, meeting the Indian’s target of 245.

India shocks Sri Lanka 5-1

Thursday, November 10th, 2005

India soundly thrashed Sri Lanka yesterday in a seven-wicket victory over the islanders, bringing the series to 5-1. Thanks to some spiffy fielding and first-class batting by Dravid’s squad, Sri Lanka set the bar pitifully low with a target of 197. Yuvraj Singh was much obliged to deliver. 6 boundaries and an [...]
